Enhancing Space and Functionality in a 3+1 Bedroom Home
It was a house that needed to be functional, initially in poor condition but brimming with potential. The goal was to transform it into a holiday home and local accommodation for a family. The use of durable materials and versatile spaces was crucial—hence, one of the bedrooms also functions as an office.
By creating new openings and expanding some of the existing ones in the common area, the result is a much brighter home with a greater connection to the outdoors, an aspect we aimed to enhance.
In this project, the house was transformed from a 3-bedroom and 2-bathroom Villa, into a 3+1 bedroom and 2+1 bathroom. We retained two spacious bathrooms from the original layout, including one as the master suite.
In the common area, we reduced the kitchen space to expand the living room and installed a new window to harness natural light, while also enlarging the access to the terrace.
The outdoor area underwent a complete renovation as well – we added a new pergola, enhanced the lighting, and installed a pool heating system. These changes have made the exterior space much more usable and enjoyable throughout the year.
In the former pantry and utility room, we built a cabinet to conceal the washing machine and provide storage, and added a service bathroom.
